it's been a long time, hasn't it.
it's already end of first week of the second month of the new year.
what have i exactly accomplished?
to be truthful, probably nothing much.
but it's all good, you only live once, who's really keeping count anyways right?
new students have arrived from their respective countries...it's always refreshing to meet new people,
but the truth is, i'm lazy as hell and i think i might just be done with socialising for the whole semester.
although danika and i have concluded that the boys this time aren't really that impressive.
we have our eye candies all lined up though, so i think we'll be fine.
it finally happened! the bartender i had the biggest crush on (but never thought about because he's WAY too unattainable) since september finally talked to me! ahhhh, i thought i was going to faint there and then. he's beautiful. i cannot fricking believe he even noticed me. he said he was going to take me dancing! muaha!
i feel like in 15 years old all over again. oh my god.
it's so great how trying to speak dutch helps break the ice with people you're otherwise really awkward with.
i probably just jinxed it but i cannot help but think that even if he turns out to be what every dutch boy is (read: self-centred, cocky, blunt, can't be bothered with you etc etc) i'm still happy this happened.
it's a fricking dream come true!
oh, i am obsessing!
so london and dublin was as great time as i'd hoped.
the journey to london was a little dramatic i.e. missing 2 trains to the airport, not knowing which platform the trains are, big fat fog at the airport, flight cancelled, stuck in eindhoven for 9 hours, taking the worst flight in the world with ryanair, and basically missing out on one full day of potential london sighseeing time.
when i was on the train i wished out loud that the plane would get delayed so i would make it, and it seems then that dreams DO come true in a weird twisted ironic way.
this whole episode made me realise what a jerkoff bram is so i guess this time around he's really out of my life!
it sucked for a bit but making it to london really really made it all worth while.
love the city! the architecture, the many many museums and galleries, love the tube and the london cabs.
oh man.
at first i was a little apprehensive about dublin- i barely knew anything about ireland except for st. paddy's day, guinness, and the colour green.
the city is small and compact, everyone is constantly drunk even in the early afternoon on a monday.
the country side is breath-takingly beautiful...it was sweet.
will post pictures soon!
and now im packing for budapest! this one i'm really excited about- my first in eastern europe!
will be there from thursday to monday, just in time for valentine's day (BLAHHHH).
zoltan's going to be there showing us around so i'm not afraid of burly hungarian men who are out to cheat the tourists! haha.
might also be taking a day trip up to vienna!!
i'm glad i'm finally taking control of my travels. last semester was a waste...i want to make it ALL up this time around!
everything is slowly falling into place! :)
